Event Description: This is the 2008 fund raiser for the Alexandria St. Patrick's Day Parade. Bring the whole family and support the parade! The day’s events include: Silent Auction, Live Auction, Raffle, and the Area’s Best Irish Entertainment brought to you by the City of Alexandria Pipes and Drums,the Washington Scottish Pipe Band, the Flying Cows, Rocky Guttman, and more.... Donations are accepted at the door. Proceeds will benefit the 2008 Alexandria St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The parade is co-sponsored by the Ballyshaners, Inc. Ballyshaners means "Old Towners" in Gaelic, the Irish language. The Ballyshaners are a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-partisan coporation organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes. All members of the organization are volunteers and do not receive compensation for their participation. The goal of the Ballyshaners is to promote and preserve Irish heritage.
